8-1Survive a StallDrive a 12V motor from the microcontroller with a circuit that survives even when the motor is held still

Power off
  • N-channel MOSFET (pick a part) (choose one)1/1 left
  • Spins at 5,000 rpm or more when OUT1 goes H
  • Keep M1 held still for 2 seconds while it's driven (a stall)
  • Then it stops when OUT1 goes L
  • Keep the FET under its voltage rating
  • Don't let the FET overheat
  • Don't leave the FET's gate floating
  • Keep OUT1's current to 20 mA
  • Don't burn out the diode (3 A max)
  • No short circuits

Press a terminal (the small ◯) to start a wire. Press where you want to bend to place corners, and finish on another terminal or on a wire. Press the middle of a wire and then somewhere else to draw a branch from there. You can drag parts and wires to move them. When you are ready, press "Run!" to turn on the power, and try the switches while it is on.
