This stage can be solved with wiring alone.

Goals

  • P1 = H, P2 = L, P3 = 100%: spin forward (5,000 rpm or more)
  • While it spins, P3 at 0% stops it within 0.5 s
  • P1 = L, P2 = H, P3 = 50%: spin backward at half speed (−3,600 to −2,400 rpm)

Rules

  • Keep the IC's supply pins within their ratings
  • Take no more than 500 mA from USB (B2)
  • No short circuits
